Dry skin might not be a good thing without moisturizing. But if you follow certain steps, you could feel your skin become a blessing. Dry skin is natural in highly dry regions and can be pampered in a lot of ways to get healthy skin. Exfoliants can be a strict NO to dry skin, but it is necessary to use gentle exfoliants to remove dead skin cells.
Generally, exfoliators contain Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) and Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA). AHA is meant for dry skin and BHA should be used for oily and acne prone skin. Glycolic acid and lactic acid contain AHA.
Below are a few ways to exfoliate your dry skin:
Use Peeling Gel
Peeling gels can be used as an exfoliator for dry skin. They neither act as peels nor as masks. They use fruit enzymes that dissolve dead skin cells and toss them out. Use Oats and warm Milk
Oats are natural and mild exfoliants. They can be powdered and mixed with milk, which is great for your skin. Apply it on your face and massage gently. They will make your skin super clean.
Use Milk Exfoliants

Take 4-5 almonds and make a powder. Add Argan oil along with Almond oil/Olive oil/Avocado oil. Argan oil has good healing properties for dry skin. The other oils have good moisturizing properties. Mix it with powdered almonds and apply the paste on the skin. Scrub it gently and get an immediate moisturized feel.
Use Powdered Sugars
Sugars are great exfoliators. Mix powdered brown sugar/white sugar with Aloe Vera gel and form a paste. We recommend Brown sugar because it is a natural ingredient. Apply the paste and you can see visible results.
Yoghurt is great for dry skin. It softens the skin and the lactic acid in it exfoliates gently. Mix it with banana and raw, unrefined honey. Honey has antibacterial and hydrating properties.
Use Oats and Brown Sugar
Mix oats, brown sugar, curd and two tablespoons of honey. The lactic acid in curd and glycolic acid in honey treats the skin and exfoliates gently.
